He was born June 27, 1960 in Springfield; the son of Charles H. and Alice N. Porter Carter.
He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Helton of Riverton; three grandchildren, Aliayah, Mickele, and Gabriella Helton; a twin brother, Christopher J. Carter of Springfield; and his companion, Linda Hartz of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was formerly employed as a cook prior to being disabled.
