Major Charles Gwinnett Kohler USAF Retired , age 79, passed away quietly at his home on May 16, 2009. Mr. Kohler was born on May 2, 1930 to Charles A. Kohler and Elsa Gwinnett Kohler. Charles was a native of New York.
Mr. Kohler was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Sharon Ann DeCristo Martin Kohler. He is survived by number one son Clayton John Martin III and wife Lori of Wendell, N.C. number two son Jay William Martin and wife Linda of Fort Myers, FL. number three son Charles Eugene Martin and wife Kathy of Lee Center, N.Y.
Daughter Charlene Marie Cole and husband Robert F. Cole Jr. of West Leyden, N.Y. 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many special friends.
Major Charles Kohler was retired from the United States Air Force and was a pilot Mechanical Engineer for over 20 years.
Charles had many interest including airplanes, sailing, trips to the beach, both Florida and Maine, and watching sunsets. His specialty was history.
