Charles Gelagotis, 62, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2013 at 8:30 PM surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Patricia Benedetti. He was born in New Haven on June 26, 1950 a son of the late John and Pousoula (Bankides) Gelagotis. Mr. Gelagotis was a general contractor who operated CG Construction which worked throughout the Tri-State area.
.He is survived by children Michael(Courtney)Gelagotis, and Kristen (John-Paul) Cyr; a sister, Stella Galagotis; three step-children, Frank, Pia and Vincent Benedetti; loving grandchildren, Ethan, Cassidy and Katie and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Vassilia (Bessie) Pappas, Mary D’Agostino and Anastasia (Tessie) Viola.
