Charles Garvice Taylor, 82, a lifetime resident of Glen Burnie, died on January 3, 2012 of respiratory failure at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a three year illness.
He was born on November 3, 1929, in Brooklyn, to the late Eleanor and Garvice Taylor. After attending High School, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving as a corporal, then sergeant, during his term. After the service, he returned to school, ultimately attaining his Law Degree from the University of Baltimore. He worked 30 years for the State of Maryland, then became self employed as the owner of Dino’s Restaurant in Glen Burnie.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eileen Taylor; five sons: Stephen G. Taylor, of Harwood, Gary R. Taylor, of Laurel, Mark S. Taylor, of Marietta, GA, Charles G. Taylor, Jr., Timothy T. Taylor; and one daughter, Tracy L. Taylor, all of Pasadena; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
