Charles G. “Buddy” Metzgar, 64, of West Milford was invited to go fishing with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2011. He was born July 3, 1946 in Clarksburg the son of the late Charles R. Metzgar and Mildred “Jerry” Devericks Metzgar. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Christa Marlies Greathouse Metzgar whom he married August 23, 1968. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son: Charles “Chris” Metzgar and wife Dawn of Fairmont and one daughter Chrystal Kelley and husband Robert of Clarksburg; four grandsons; Tristan Metzgar, Ethan and Caydan Kelley and Vance Metzgar; five sisters; Mickey Dean of Clarksburg, Paula Felt of North Carolina, Cathy Kesling of Buckhannon, Pam Metzgar of Lost Creek and Gerry Gaines of Lost Creek; one brother; George Metzgar and several nieces and nephews. He was a retired carpenter and maintenance worker with the Harrison County Board of Education. Buddy was a member of the Stone Coal Fishing Club of Weston. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved the great outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandsons. Buddy was a well known member of his community, and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
