Charles Frederick Moehle, Jr., of Cocoa Beach, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 23rd after a brief illness.

Charles was born and raised in the small community of Walton in southern St. Lucie county where he attended St. Lucie County High School in Ft. Pierce. After graduating high school in 1953, he attended the University of Florida where he obtained a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

After college, Charles moved to Titusville with his wife, Rachel, where he worked as a construction engineer for the State Road Department of Florida. Charles was then commissioned in the U.S. Air Force before co-founding the architectural and engineering firm, Brevard Engineering Company & Stottler Stagg Associates in Cape Canaveral. After retiring from the firm, he purchased a 3,500-acre ranch in Titusville where he and his son, Mike, worked to develop the property. Charles also served on the Board of Directors of SunBank and later SunTrust Bank.

Charles is survived by his sister, Blanche Hamilton of Ft. Pierce; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kris Moehle of Cocoa Beach; daughter and son-in-law, Pam & Karl Kelly of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren Amanda Jentz and Brett Donley of Merritt Island and Ben and Kevin Kelly of Holly Springs, NC; great grandchildren Zoey Beskow and Zayne Jentz of Merritt Island.
