Charles F. Manuel, 71, Anderson, passed away December 26, 2009 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born November 21, 1938 in Sullivan County, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of his life.
Charles retired from Emge Meat Packing after 28 years of service. He was a member of the Pigeon Club.
He is survived by his wife whom he married July 25, 1981, Rita Stogdill Manuel; three children, Brian Purdy, Scott Purdy and Mathew Manuel, all of Anderson; sister, Peggy Booth of Ohio; brothers, Wayne Manuel, Earl Manuel and Jake Manuel, all of Dugger; two grandchildren, Zachary Purdy and Nicholas Purdy; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Pansy Critchfield Manuel and sisters, Mary Blevens and Joan Smith.
