Charles F. Ehlers, 89, Huntington, IN died at 2:48 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mr. Ehlers was born on June 11, 1920 to Carl and Dot Zink Ehlers in Peru, IN. His parents preceded him in death. He married Marjorie A. Hamilton on July 12, 1947 in Lagro, IN. She died November 14, 1999. Mr. Ehlers graduated from Peru High School, Class of 1938 and International Business College in 1939.

He was a warehouse supervisor and production controller for Baldwin Hill Insulation Co. Huntington, IN and All Seasons Boat Co., Markle, IN. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He served in the Signal Corp of the Army during WWII. Survivors include: two daughters: Rita (Keith) Disler, Huntington, IN and Roberta (Clyde) Fishburn, Bowling Green, IN, three grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and two sisters: Dorothy Dubonwich, Schenectady, NY and Janet Mohler, Mulberry, IN.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Richard Ehlers and a sister: Marilyn Knox.
