BOXFORD – Charles Francis Boulanger, 85, of Boxford, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018, at the Kaplan House in Danvers, with his wife by his side.
Charles was born in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Francis M. and Helen S. (Johanson) Boulanger. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and later enrolled in the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK, where his love of aviation began. Charles joined Trans World Airlines in 1957 where he spent 35 years as the flight engineer controlling systems on Constellations, Boeing 707’s, Boeing 747’s and Lockheed 1011’s.
Following retirement, he and his wife Patricia traveled often.
