Charles Eugene Horchner, 70, of Greencastle, Pa., and formerly of Williamsport, Md., died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Feb. 15, 1941, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Carl William and Frances Elizabeth Rowe Horchner.
Charles was employed by The Herald-Mail Co. in Hagerstown for more than 24 years until his retirement in 1995 and was previously employed by Statton Furniture in Hagerstown for 10 years.
He attended Williamsport schools.
He attended First United Methodist Church in Greencastle and previously attended Williamsport United Methodist Church.
He was a member of The Improved Order of Red Men Conococheague Tribe 84 of Williamsport.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, M. Rosalie Rowe Horchner of Greencastle; son, Charles E. Horchner Jr. and wife, Karen, and their children, Christopher Douglas and Kayla Marie, of Greencastle; son, Jeffrey L. Horchner and wife, Carolyn, and her daughter, Carrie McCoy, and her daughter, Brooklyn, of Stanley, Va.; brother, Larry G. Horchner and wife, Mary Jane, of St. James, Md.; brother, Raymond D. Horchner of St. James; brother, Francis E. Horchner and wife, Sharon, of Halfway, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one brother, Carl A. Horchner.
