Charles Ervin Taylor, 74, of Salisbury passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Born October 10, 1939 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Estelle Eudy and Charles Ray Taylor.
Charles retired from Cone Mills as a fixer. He was of the Baptist denomination. Charles enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid NASCAR fan, and an Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He was a friend to everyone he met, and his favorite time was the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his great-grandchild, Christopher Charles Yost; sister, Lolly Barringer; and brother, Joe Ray Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Waller Taylor; son, Carey Taylor (Lisa) of Rockwell; daughter Angel Resanovich (Scott) of Salisbury; sister, Lillian Wagner of Gold Hill; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
