Charles Ernest Williams, Jr., October 13, 1936 – October 21, 2016.

Mr. Williams died Friday, October 21, 2016 in a Belton assisted living center.

Mr. Williams was born October 13, 1936 in Washington County, Virginia, the son of Charles Ernest Williams, Sr. and Carrie Tinney Williams.  While he was in high school, he worked for Lindale Dairy in High Point, North Carolina. He was a 1954 graduate of High Point High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, later the U. S. Army and served during the Vietnam Era and during the Berlin Wall Crisis. He married Edna Marlene “Marty” Willard March 21, 1954 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Mary Hardin Baylor. He did graduate work at North Carolina Central University. He retired from the United States Army in 1978 as a CWO3.  He was also an Emerald Level Amway Distributor, financial consultant and entrepreneur.

Survivors include: wife Marlene “Marty” Williams of Belton, son Charles Ernest “Chuck” Williams III of Ft. Worth, daughter Ellen Ann Williams Hicks of Temple, and son Donald Lee “Donnie” Williams of Salado.  One brother Carl Raymond Williams of Robbins, NC and two sisters, Virginia Louise Boren of Trinity, NC and Glenda Elaine Reece of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
