Smithwick and her spouse, Douglas; son, John R. “Rusty” Hill and his spouse Betty; 7 grandchildren, Chelsea Strehle, Lakelyn Hill, Keysha Rowland, Jacob Carline, Karleigh Mouch, Amy Smithwick, and Michael Smithwick; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Eddie Joe Hill, Jim Hill, and Jerry Hill; 2 sisters, Carolyn Goldman and Kay Wilson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Ernest Hill.
