Charles Eric Mays passed away, on October 5, 2021, he leaves behind a domestic spouse, Emily Wade, a sister Crystal Mays, nephews Austin (Autumn Thatcher) & Keith Armstrong, a niece Vivian Armstrong (Keory Thompson), and a great-niece Athena.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sherry Mays, to whom he had an unbreakable bond.
He always stood up for what he believed in. He was the toughest and bravest person we ever knew. He never stopped trying to teach us all something. He had a tough exterior but once you got to know him, he was the kindest and sweetest man you could ever meet. He had a passion for learning everything he could about cars. He had a passion for music, not just listening but playing instruments as well. He was very musically inclined. He even won a prestigious award for playing jazz.
He always tried to keep his inner child alive and well. He always told us that a man is only as good as his word, and he always tried to keep his word no matter what. Despite the challenges in his life, he never let them stop him from doing what he wanted and living life to the fullest. He was a family-oriented person who believed that family comes before anything else. He had a knack for cutting it up with people and making them laugh. He was good at making friends and once he made you a friend, you were a friend for life. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back to help you in your time of need.
Your body may be gone but you will never be forgotten by the ones that love you the most. Sleep well, my dear. We will see you in heaven again someday.
