Charles Ellis Hood, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born in Galveston, TX on September 22, 1943 to the late James William Hood and Rosa Aymes Hood. Charles is survived by his wife, Natalia Hood; children, Valarie Pichardo, Charlene Hood; grandchildren, Joseph Campbell, Derick Campbell and David Hamilton. He is also survived by his siblings, Willard Hood, Merle Garland, Sharon Wilkas, Jimmie Harned and Miriam Bain. He served in the Air Force from 1962 to 1968 at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Texas. In 1975 he received an Associate degree in Science Electronic Technology from Brown Community College Fort Lauderdale Florida. After graduation he worked for Eastern and Northwest Airlines as a radio mechanic and eventually retired from Northwest Airlines. Charles had a kind heart and would always help his friends and family whenever needed. He loved animals, reading and working crossword puzzles.
