Charles “Chuck” R. Ellis, 64, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his home. He was born September 3, 1956 in Centralia, the son of Charles R. Ellis and Violet (Jones) Ellis.
Chuck is survived by his son, Matthew Ellis and wife Andrea of Alma; seven grandchildren: Gavin Foraker, Rayna Ellis, Ava Ellis, Gunner Ellis, Grayson Ellis, Gaige Ellis and Grady Ellis all of Alma; two sisters: Star Claxton and husband Dennis of Centralia and Connie Black of Centralia; two nephews: Steven Koppen and wife Bobbie of Centralia and Andrew Koppen of Centralia; five nieces: Cammie Starr and husband Marvin of Centralia, Kimberly Clay and husband Kevin of Juliet, Tennessee, Julie Koppen and significant other Drake Hoskins of St. Louis, Missouri, Melissa Hering and husband Rick, and Amber Bequette; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his four legged companion: Oscar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter: Ashley Raye Ellis, and a sister: Bonnie Rowekamp. Chuck served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed tinkering on motorcycles, cars and making birdhouses. He also enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music.
