Charles “Charlie” Blaylock, 87, Rossville, Ga., peacefully passed from this life to his heavenly home with Jesus early Friday morning, January 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was born November 29, 1925, in Chattanooga. He had lived most of his life in the North Georgia area. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin D. Blaylock, mother, Lillian R. Blaylock; and a brother, William Clark Blaylock. Survivors are his loving wife of almost 70 years, Mary Durham Blaylock; son, Gary (Charmian) Blaylock, Chickamauga; daughters, Gail (Cloyd) Bell, Sale Creek, Tenn., Brenda Linderman, Rossville, and Lynn (Stuart) Shankles, Rossville; six grandsons and one granddaughter, Paul (Shantel) Blaylock, Chickamauga, Ga. David (Stacey) Blaylock, Chickamauga, Tim (Yolanda) Bell, Bakewell, Tenn., Becky (Marty) Shadoan, Somerset, Kentucky, Mike (Michelle) Linderman, Graysville, Tenn., Chris (Christina) Linderman, Rossville, and Darrell (Tiffney) Shankles, Chickamauga; 17 great-grand children; two great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
