CHARLES EDWARD WOOD JR. MET JESUS, MAY 5TH 2021. He was 60 years old.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Phillips.
Surviving family includes his father, Charles Edward Wood Sr. and step-mother, Gretta Wood of Buford, his siblings, Margie Wood Armbrust of Buford, Keith Wood (Anna) of Jefferson, Melissa Wood DiAmbrose (Alex) of Jefferson, and Josh Wood of Buford; his children, Jason Wood (Stefani) of Atlanta, Christopher Wood of Norcross, and Morgan Wood of Norcross, and his five amazing grandchildren, Declan, Mead, Berrit (Jason), McKenzie and Liam (Christopher), that were the absolute pride and joy of his life.
In 2011, Charles was blessed when his life crossed paths with Carla Smith, his beloved and devoted constant companion. His life was greatly enriched by the bonus of getting to love her children, Sammi Rowell of Buford, and Breana Bivens (Dustin) of Chatsworth, and also to have two additional grandchildren, Gracelynn and Jace (Breana) to spoil.
A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and dozens of cousins remain to carry on his zest for life.
Charles believed in the celebration of the good times and was fantastic at leading the charge. He was gifted with an infectious and indomitable spirit that saw him through many storms and trials in his life. There was never a lack of a solution to any problem when he was around. He was generous and always the first to lend a hand
