Charles Edward Shreves, 64, of Clarksburg, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011, following an extended illness. He was born in Clarksburg on January 30, 1947 the son of the late William Shreves and Sarah Jane Cottrill Shreves Bunnell. He is survived by his former wife Debbie Shreves of Huntington, WV; one daughter; Jayquane Shreves Eckenrode and husband Jamie of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren; Abby, Jamie, Isaiah, Tess, James, Zachary and Jayquane Kay Eckenrode; his caretaker Evelyn Stewart of Salem; one sister Cindy Bender and husband Ike of Flatwoods, WV; one brother; Jerry Shreves of Clarksburg; and two nephews; Josh and Erick Linger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Ronnie, Leon and Donny Shreves. Mr. Shreves loved construction work and building with wood, he was a member of the Eagles and worked in the maintenance department for the City of Clarksburg. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
