Elder Charles Edward Mejean, 75, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died in faith, Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Elder Mejean was born September 5, 1931, in Dugger, Indiana to Frank and Mary Jane (Parks) Mejean. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On December 16, 1952, he married Rachel Jane Westmoreland in Hornando, Mississippi, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage before Mrs. Mejean preceded him in death on February 8, 2005.

Elder Mejean was a member and former Pastor of the Apostolic Bible Chapel in Michigan City, Indiana.

Elder Mejean was employed as a crane operator at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana before his retirement. He was a man with many interests, including Bible study, sharing scripture with others, welding, woodworking, crocheting, writing computer programs, taking walks, bike riding, and chopping wood. He was a lifelong learner, enjoying many diverse subjects.

Elder Mejean loved his family and looked forward to spending time with them all. Survivors include his children, Judy (Robert) Ritchey; Charles (Carol) Mejean; Janice (André©) Bordeaux; Justina Mejean; Joanette Mejean; Jennifer (Michael) Shappard; Jeanette Mejean; C Edward (Matilde) Mejean; Jacqueline (Anthony) Arnold; Christain (Cindy) Mejean; Jill (Charles) Gray and Janel (Todd) Taylor; 25 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; brother, Loran (Dot) Mejean of Pleasantville, Indiana and his sister, Linda Blaize of Linton, Indiana.
