Charles Edward Gamble was born February 19, 1939 to the late Charlie “Scrap” Gamble and Hattie Mae Bradley Kirby. He departed this life on December 28, 2016 at the Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama.
He attended schools in Limestone County, Alabama. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with St Andrews P.B. Church in Limestone County.
He was employed with Tennessee Valley Oil Mill for over 30 years in maintenance. He was a very fun loving person and lived life to the fullest. He was married to the late Dorothy Gamble for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Charles Gamble Jr.; sisters, Edna Gamble and Carolyn Kirby; one brother, Ronald “Skipper” Kirby.
Mr. Gamble leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Glenda Mason, Gregory Lynn Gamble, Deborah Jackson, Christopher Gamble and Regina Gamble, all of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Sanchez, Mark, James, Kristen (John), Tyree, Breanna, Whitney and Aaliyah; four siblings, Luecinria Kirby Martin, Elizabeth Bartlett, Betty Martin and Mary Harris all of Huntsville, Carl Gamble of St. Matthews, NC and Bobbie Hall of Decatur, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.
