On March 13, 2017, Charles Edward Brown, passed away in Cockeysville, MD. He was born on January 21,1924 in California to the late Charles and Gladys (nee Brice) Brown.

He served in the Army during World War II, after which he had a long career in the Aerospace industry, which culminated while working at JHU-Applied Physics Laboratory in Howard County.

Charles held memberships in many clubs and organizations, to include the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ellicott City, the Wiltondale Gun Club, and the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Maryland, Patmos Lodge No. 70, where he was a member for 50 years. He also was an editor for The Sink Box, which is a publication by Ducks Unlimited.

Charles is survived by his children, Susan Mize (Robert) and Leslie Hachenberg (Mark); his stepdaughter, Sherri Landauer (Craig). He is also survived by seven granddaughters, one grandson and twelve great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Florence Brown (nee DeGraffenreid) and his son, Keith Brown. A prior marriage to Ruth W. Brown (nee Wright) ended in divorce.
