Charles Olson, III, 64, of Granville, died on Saturday afternoon, June 20, at his home in Granville. Funeral Services will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home in Oglesby, with the Rev. Dale Pederson, Pastor of the First Congregational Church in Peru, officiating. Mr. Olson was born on May 31, 1951, in Rockford to Charles and Carol (Hocking) Olson.

He owned and operated janitorial service and waterbed stores. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Roxanne Foster, on April 18, 1982, in Mesa, Arizona. He enjoyed family, fishing, playing cards, music, and 4-wheeling. He had attended the First Congregational Church in Peru.

He is survived by his wife Roxanne, one daughter Jacqueline M. Olson, of Granville, one son Justin R. Olson, of LaSalle, one granddaughter, Keigan Olson, his step-father, John Oberholz, of Peru, one brother John (Laura) Oberholz, Jr., of LaSalle, and two sisters, Amy (Jim) Crouch, of LaSalle, and Libby (Ed) Margherio, of Mesa, Az., and his dogs, Teddy Bear and Suki.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Mandy Lynn Olson, one son, Jeremiah Olson, and sisters Clara Doll, and Cammie Dauck.
