 Charles Edward Oliver, (Chuck, Chuckles, Grandpa, Papa, Poppy) passed away Saturday, May 14th 2016 at a Boise Hospital.

 Born in Casper, Wyoming, to John and Geraldine Oliver, Charles was the 2nd of 3. The family moved to Buhl, Idaho, when Chuck was in Jr. High. He stayed in Buhl until he was 17, June 1951, when he became a Marine. He fought in the Korean War. Before going into the Marines, Chuck met Joan Durfee, the love of his life. They courted while Chuck was in the war, he came home on leave in August and they wed. Chuck loved working in the Forestry, Lumber industry. Chuck and Joan traveled around in different areas of the Northwest working in small sawmills. Darcy and Denice were born in Emmett while working for Boise Cascade. Nick was born in Del Norte, Colorado, and John was born in Hailey, Idaho. After that mill closure they moved back to Emmett and stayed. Chuck set several production records as a block sawyer in the plywood plant.

 Chuck is survived by a brother in law, Neal Wirsching (sister Bev); sister’s in law, Jeanenne (Ralph) and Joyce (Jim); 4 beautiful children, Darcy (Gene), Denice (Ed), Nick (Tammy) and John (Denise); 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

 Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Joan, parents John and Geraldine Oliver, Sister Beverly, and Brother Richard.

 Chuck will be cremated and scattered with the love of his life Joan in the pine trees of Cascade, close to their anniversary day.

 The family would like to thank St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute in Nampa and downtown Boise. The way you folks took care of our father and our family was incredible.

 We would also like thank Brad and Marilyn Newell for all the love and help that they gave dad the last 3 years.
