Charles E. Kresge, Sr. 87, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday April, 16, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Doris L. (Kincaid) Kresge, with whom he shared 64 years of loving marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (VanHorn) Kresge.

Charlie was a graduate of Bethlehem Vo-Tech. He honorably served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Charlie owned and operated Kresge’s Texaco Service Station in Whitehall for 40 years, until retiring in 1986. After retirement, he kept busy working as a mechanic for Dinbokowitz Marine in Whitehall for many years. He was a member of Trinity U.C.C. in Bethlehem. He was also a proud member of the Lehigh Valley Marine Corps League. Charlie enjoyed hunting, and fishing on his 46′ boat.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Doris, sons Charles E. Kresge, Jr. and his wife Karen of Northampton, Bruce A. Kresge of Bethlehem, Todd W. Kresge of Whitehall; daughters Donna L. Kresge of Bethlehem, Carol A. Hilton and her husband Joseph of Allentown; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers LeRoy Kresge and his wife Janet of Quakertown, Edward Kresge and his wife Nancy, John Kresge and his wife Barbara all of Miller Heights. He was predeceased by his sisters Dorothy and Marlene.
