Charles E. “Charlie” Kniceley, II, age 39 of Lost Creek, WV, died of a heart attack on September 14, 2016 at United Hospital Center. He was born April 4, 1977 in Clarksburg, WV.
He is survived by his loving parents, Charles and Debbie (Vanhorn) Kniceley of Lost Creek, WV; maternal grandmother, Freda Williams Kniceley of Clarksburg; a sister, Rebecca Layton & her husband, Edward of Clarksburg; a son, Tristan “T Matt” Kniceley of Cannellton, WV; a daughter, Lizz “Libef” Drummond of Salem, Ohio; three nieces, Brittany Kniceley, Kayla “Noongee” Bug” Kniceley and Lyndsey “Fruity Cakes” Layton, all of Clarksburg; three nephews, Chase Kniceley of Shinnston, Eddie Layton and Eric Layton of Winfield, WV; a great niece Briley “BG” Hanlan; a great nephew, Hudson, “Jesse James” Hanlan; second mother, Dianna “Moms” Tucker & her husband, Ray; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Rufus Kniceley and Gregory Scott Kniceley; maternal grandparents, Rufus and Ina Vanhorn; paternal grandfather, Robert Kniceley.
Charlie was a 1995 graduate of South Harrison High School. He enjoyed spending time with friends. Charlie also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and camping. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, St. Louis Cardinals, WV Mountaineers and NASCAR racing, especially Tony Stewart, and was a member of the Clarksburg Dart League. Charlie was also a big civil war buff, and was a major fan of the Davisson Brothers Band. He enjoyed dirt track racing on weekends with Kris Southern (K2) as his favorite driver. But most of all, he loved watching his son play baseball and football.
Charlie loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and participated in several memorial poker runs, including the PFC Andrew Martin “Bo” Harper Memorial Run, Jimbo Childers Memorial Poker Run and Toys for Tots.
Charlie was an organ and tissue donor, through CORE in Pittsburgh, PA.
