Charles E Delaney Jr. 65 of Clarksburg passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at United Hospital Center. He was born August 11, 1946 in Clarksburg, son of the late Charles E Delaney Sr. and Clara Rollins Delaney. Charles worked at Summit Park PSD for fifteen years and was at Rollins Market for twenty years. Surviving is his three children, Charles E Delaney III and fiancée, Jessica Burbridge, Ruth and husband Larry Hardway where Charles made his home and Misty Cogis; ten grandchildren, one sister, Alice Wright and husband Kevin; three brothers, Harry Delaney and wife Brenda, Daniel Delaney all of Clarksburg; Roy Delaney and wife Sheila, Meadowbrook; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Blanche Rowan Delaney in 2002; three sisters, Martha Jean Delaney, Debra Eve Delaney and Leona Rowan; four brothers, Archie Lee, Harold Ray, Bobby and Tommy Delaney. Charles was Pentecostal by faith and a member of the Summit Park Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed WVU football, bluegrass music and collecting trains.
