Charles Edward Capps, 81, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday September 1, 2016 at IU Health Bloomington.
Charlie was born August 26, 1935 in Burkesville, Kentucky and was the son of the late Fount and Dell (Bean) Capps.
Charlie worked in the construction field and served in the Army and National Guard and was a member of the American Legion. Charlie loved his home, flowers and his 3 dogs, Penny, Tinker and Sky. He was of the Nazarene Faith.
Charlie was very proud of and embraced his Native American Heritage.
Charlie fought a good fight and will be missed by so many that loved him.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Debbie Burgess (Robert) and Teresa Marie Wach (Mark) both of Bloomington and son Charles Joseph of Indianapolis. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and his partners beloved children and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his partner of 25 years, Lois Bennett and several siblings.
