Charles Duaine Moore Sr., 85, of Yorktown, passed away on February 9, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on November 27, 1935 in Morehead, Kentucky and resided most of his life in Yorktown. He worked for Elston Richards for 29.5 years. After working for Elston, Duaine went on to open his own business, named Duaine Moore Incorporated, DMI, which he sold in 2005.
Duaine then opened Glass and More, which he still owned and operated at the time of his death. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, where he achieved the rank of 32nd Degree, and was also a member of the Shrine Club. He enjoyed flying, playing golf, nature watching, photography, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Duaine is survived by his son, Charles (Melissa) Moore, Jr.; grandchildren, Charles Moore, III, Jaclyn Moore, Tyler R. Moore, Carson H. Moore, Nevaeh G. Moore; sisters, Jane (Carroll) Moore, Sharon (Wayne) Cole; brother, Bobby C. Moore; also his special friend, Sue E. Moore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Jean Moore; mother, Elsie Pearl Moore; father, Hurshal Moore, Sr.; siblings, Hurshal Moore, Jr., Virginia Helen Lake, and Granville Johnson Moore.
