Charles “Charlie” Douglas Cox sadly passed away on March 27, 2022, in Canon City, Colorado. He was born on March 16, 1935, to Roy James and Edna Marie (Sappenfield) Cox in Ann Arber, Michigan. He had 1 brother growing up, William Robert Cox.
Charlie attended and graduated from Michigan State College while married to Joyce Ann White. They went on to have 3 daughters together, Peggy Ann, Laura Lynn, and Dyane Louise Cox. In 2015 he then married Ruth H. Biemiller in Canon City, Colorado.
He had worked for Ford Motor Company in Michigan for 34 years before moving to Colorado in 2003.
Charlie leaves behind his wife, Ruth; daughters, Peggy (Jeff) Doney, and Laura (Carl) Maldonado; as well as 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edna Cox; brother, Bill Cox; and daughter, Dyane Cox.
