On Monday, December 5, 2005, Mr. Charles Curtis Brooks, age 95, of Glen Burnie. Beloved husband of the late Mary Inez Brooks; Loving father of Curtis B. Brooks and M. Deanna Hill and her husband Richard; caring former father-in-law of Anne Brooks Heiland; Also survived by three grandsons, three granddaughters, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter and his dear care-takers: Windy Sommerville, Katherine Robinson, Nellie Brown and Doreen Harris. He is predeceased by his brothers Elmer and Roland Brooks and his sisters Mazie Brooks, Lola Davis, Ruth Wilkins and Dorothy Lewis. Curtis worked in the Washington Navy Yard as a bricklayer. He then went to work at Ft. Meade as an Auto Mechanic until he retired after 30 years. Curtis then worked for five more years as a carpenter at Bowie State College. He enjoyed carpentry and working with his hands.
