CHARLES R. COPPEDGE, 81, Deming resident passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born January 11, 1935 in Rotan, Texas to Idamae Watley and Jay Coppedge. He worked as a truck driver and farmer. Charles was a hard worker and enjoyed being outside with his horses and cattle.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Fay Coppedge of the home; son, Bill Coppedge and wife Jeanie of Deming; daughter, Nita Deetz and husband David of Las Cruces; 3 brothers, Donnie, Freddie Coppedge both of Texas, Sheryl Coppedge of Montana; sister, Sharon Coppedge of Montana; step-grandchildren, Debbie Keith, Laura Morris, Brad Orsak; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Idamae Coppedge and a brother, Bilily Wayne Coppedge.
