He passed away on Feb 2, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. He sought the Lord in repentance when he was 16 and was baptized in the Apostolic Christian Church in West Bend, IA. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1972. On Dec 6, 1981 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Leman of Forrest, IL. They farmed and milking cows in the rural West Bend. Later, he worked at Hormel Foods in Algona, IA. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved gardening and making connections with people.
He is survived by his wife Beth and children: Isaac (Valerie Bahler) Mogler, Joel (Tabitha Porter) Mogler both of West Bend, Betsy (Andy) Bruellman of Ottosen, IA and Paula (Ryan) Grimm of Lexington, IL, 5 grandsons and 5 granddaughters. He is also survived by siblings Beverly Knapp of Cissna Park, IL, Mary (Manuel) Gerber of West Bend, IA, Harriet (Bruce) Metzger of Alvord, IA and brother-in-law Gerald Rudin of Cissna Park, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother- and father-in-law Robert and Donna (Honegger) Leman, brother Curtis, sister Joan Rudin, and brothers-in-law Fred Leman and Curtis Knapp.
