The gates of heaven opened wide for our beloved Charles “Chuck” Franklin Manchen on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Chuck was a devoted husband, a loving son and brother, a caring dog dad, a cherished cousin and nephew, and a generous friend.

Chuck was born in Oak Park, Illinois on February 8, 1990, to his adoring parents Pamela and Chuck Manchen. Starting early as a child, Chuck always displayed kindness and compassion by always putting others before himself. He held his friends close to his heart and cherished his relationships especially with his childhood friends Beatah and Bubba. He was hardworking and dedicated which led to him becoming an Eagle Scout in 2004. He loved to have a good time with his friends and family and enjoyed playing baseball and making funny movies that we still treasure to this day.

Chuck graduated from Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, AZ in 2008 and went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Northern Arizona University where he met his wife, Arielle. In high school and college, Chuck was always the life of the party and always knew how to make everyone laugh. Everyone knew that they could depend on Chuck to listen and give advice, and to plan the best vacations. Chuck graduated from NAU in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He then went on to work as an Application Engineer for Varitec Solutions for almost 10 years.

Chuck married his wife Arielle in 2016, and together they lived in a home in Phoenix with their two doggies Ollie and Romeo. Chuck was a beyond-loving and faithful husband who would do anything for his wife. Together they loved making their house a home by decorating for the holidays, hosting parties, growing a beautiful garden, and so much more.

Although Chuck did have health struggles, his faith never wavered, and his spirit remained strong. For someone who had so many health issues, he accomplished so much, would never complain, and always put in extra effort. He loved to cook his meals, do yard work, walk the dogs, and would wake up early everyday to make sure he had time to help others with their needs.

Chuck passed away peacefully on October 5th surrounded by his family and loved ones. He is survived by his wife Arielle Cajic, his parents Pamela and Chuck Manchen, his brother Pete Manchen, his dogs Ollie and Romeo, his cousins, aunts, uncles, and godparents, and his friends and other family members.

While Chuck left us too soon, we are all taking comfort in the fact that he is waiting for us with the Lord. He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed. We are so grateful to have been blessed with having his beautiful soul as a part of our lives.

“I will praise thee;

 for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:

 marvelous are thy works;

 and that my soul knoweth right well.”

PSALM 139:14
