Charles “C.O.” Owen Sides, 80, of Anderson, passed away on February 6, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 4, 1939, in Arcanum, Ohio, and resided most of his life in the Pendleton/Anderson area.
C.O. graduated from Franklin Monroe High School in 1958. He retired from General Motors in 1992 after 28 and a half years. He was a member of UAW 663 and loved riding his horses, bicycling, fishing, and searching for arrowheads.
C.O. is survived by his loving spouse whom he married May 4, 1963, Malinda Sides; daughters, Lora (Mark) Vanderluit and Amy (Allen Williams) Sides, grandchildren, Owen and Olivia Vanderluit, and Jack Williams; siblings, Verna (Jim) Cook, Dennis (Janice) Sides, sister-in-law, Marie Sides; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Lester Sides; and brothers Donnie (Barbara) Sides, and Keith Sides.
