Charles H. Blakney, age 77 of Birmingham, AL passed away on June 3, 2011. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from Anderson Electric in 1992 with 37 years of services. He was a member of Huffman Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Terry Joe Blakney and his parents, John and Addie Blakney. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn Blakney; son, Charles Blakney, Jr. (Janet); daughter, Darlene Murry; grandchildren, Brian Blakney (Kristen), Ashley Dailey (Jay), Tracy Roberts, Jr., and Cheyenne Murry; great grandchildren, Willow Roberts and Ella Dailey; niece, Kay Tidwell.
