Charles L. Bibey, 83 of North East, MD, peacefully joined his loving wife in eternal life on Monday, September 18, 2017 in the Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, Newark, DE, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Belington, WV, on October 24, 1933, he was the son of the late Bernard and Luvenia (Bennett) Bibey.  He was the husband of the late Judith C. Bibey who passed away March 18, 2007.

He served his country proudly during the Korean War in the Army, where he was in charge of the motor pool.

He was co-founder of Cecil County Auto Body. He worked as a body man for 45 years, retiring in 2002.

He was a member of VFW Post 6027, North East, MD, and attended First Baptist Church of North East. Charles enjoyed watching the Orioles, Redskins and NASCAR. He was very interested in WWII history, especially military air craft. One of his most enjoyable projects was when he and his son restored and customized a 1967 Chevy pickup truck. Most important to him was family, his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his world. He enjoyed each and every one of them and watching them grow.

Survived by two sons: David C. Bibey of North East, MD and Wayne L. Bibey of Conowingo, MD; brother: Edgar Bibey of North East, MD; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
