Mr. Charles Bernard Snyder, age 86, of Grafton passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Genevieve “Ginny” (Poling) Snyder, in 1968. His second wife, Cora Mae (Sigley) Snyder, survives. Mr. Snyder was born on November 22, 1926 in New Martinsville, WV a son of the late Farley Dean Snyder and Alice Afton Workman Snyder. He worked as a coal miner and a carpenter, loved to hunt, fish, camping, and simply loved the outdoors. He is survived by: 6 daughters, Alice Boyles, of Cortland, OH, Ellen Murray, of Knoxville, TN, Velma Hutson, of Knoxville, TN, Thelma Snyder, of Knoxville, TN, Dorothy and Herb Boyles, of Parkersburg, WV, Donna and Daniel Martin, of Grafton; 6 sons, Farley Snyder, of Grafton, Charles Arthur Snyder, of Warren, OH, David Lee and Pam Snyder, of Parkersburg, Guy Alexander and Judy Snyder, of OK, Dewey Snyder, of Charleston, Harold Snyder; step-children, Danny Poling, of Ohio, Mark Poling, Renelda Poling, and Cora “Sue” Poling, all of Clarksburg; brother, Carl Snyder, of Grafton, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 children in infancy, son, Roger Snyder and step-sons, Roger Poling, and William Ray Poling, II, siblings, Mary Menear, and James Arthur “Bus” Snyder.
