Age 92, of Kalamazoo, MI, died Friday, May 31, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was a life-long resident of Kalamazoo, born Feb 10, 1927, the son of Forrest O. and Beatrice L. (Brog) Fenwick.

Chuck graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1945 and then joined the U.S. Navy (PhM3). Upon his return, he enrolled in and obtained a BS in Pharmacy in 1950 from Ferris Institute (now Ferris State Univ) in Big Rapids, MI. He returned to Kalamazoo and met his future bride, Bertha G. (Bert) Bennett, who was attending Bronson School of Nursing; they were married June 28, 1952. After working as a registered pharmacist in retail pharmacy, Chuck joined the Upjohn Company in 1956, where he worked for 35 years, until his retirement.

He and Bert were active in the Kalamazoo Junior Chamber of Commerce (JayCees) and members of Stockbridge Ave United Methodist Church. Chuck was very active in scouting, not only with his sons and grandson, but also participating in adult scouting. He was proud to receive the Silver Beaver Award, Boy Scouting’s highest council-level distinguished service award. He was also an avid coin and paper money collector and was very active in the Kalamazoo Numismatic Club and the Michigan State Numismatic Society. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at Pleasant Lake, Delton, for many years.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Bert. Also surviving are four children: Marc (Charlotte) Fenwick, Beth (Jeff) Freeman, David Fenwick, and Mary Waters; ten grandchildren: Jessica, Justin, Jon, Jeremy, Krissy, Jeff, Chelsea, Micah, Kendra and Hanna and three great-grands: Lotus, Natalie, and Rachel; and a sister, Florence Brenner.
