Charles Alan Lashley, age 53, died January 2nd after a brief illness at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Alan was born May 31, 1962 in Shreveport, Louisiana and was one of two children born to the late Charles E. and Whittie Jordan Lashley. Alan was a man who loved the outdoors. Hunting was a big part of his life.
NASCAR was another passion, but nothing more so than his devotion as an Alabama fan. He loved following the team because he knew when the going got tough, the ground would start to rumble and the Red Elephants were on the move! Sunny days would often find him on the golf course chasing balls that seemed to have a mind of their own at times. His love of sports and his devotion to his children would find him actively involved in coaching any athletics in which his children participated, be it softball or football. After acquiring an interest in billiards, Alan had been a part of a pool league. Alan was an important part of the team at his employer, Kason.
He spent 35 years in service to his company as an assembly coordinator. Alan is survived by his devoted wife Lisa McKoy Lashley; his children Luci Danielle Presley and Jeremy Andrew (Kristin) Presley. Also surviving is his brother David Lashley, his wife Kelly and their daughter Megan. This list also has to include his fur babies Duke, Sophie and Dixie.
