Charles Acton, 80, left this life on May 11, 2019 in Melbourne Florida after a lengthy battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, a result of his exposure to agent orange and toxic chemicals while serving in Vietnam.

 

Charlie was born In McBaine, Missouri on Nov 21, 1938.  He entered the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE on 21 Nov 1956.

 

 

He began his civilian career in Communication Management at Digital Computer Corporation, Maynard Mass on 1 Feb 1980.

 

 Charlie was offered a job with Northrop Grumman as the Information Management Director at Cape Canaveral AFS, FL.

 

Charlie enjoyed golfing with his friends all over the world. He especially enjoyed playing golf in Palm Springs California, Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach.  Weekend golf and tournaments with his friends were a must in his life.

 

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Edith Acton, whom he met while stationed in Germany, a daughter Vivian Negron, MSgt USAF (Ret.) and son-in-law Abraham Negron Chief, USAF (Ret).  His brothers William Acton (Charlotte), Joseph Acton (Della,) his sisters Lozetta Acton, Mary Gibson and Leona Jones and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, the full love and total pride of his life, Internal Doctor of Medicine, Mindy Lynn Stephenson Capt. USAF, and his parents Kenneth and Louise Acton, and brother Frank Acton.
