Charles A. Wilson of Conway passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023.

Charles Alfred Wilson, affectionately known as “Chuck”, was the fourth child of the late Jack and Lillie Wilson. Charles was born in Washington, D.C. on May 20. I944 and was called to his heavenly home on July I4, 2023.
Charles attended the public schools in Washington, DC, and attended Phelps Vocational High School where he majored in Auto Body Mechanics. After high school, Charles joined the US Army stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, 82′ Airborne as a paratrooper. He was deployed on two separate tours to Vietnam during that horrific war. After his service to his country, he worked for Sears Roebuck and Company in appliance repair and the Aerospace Museum as a technician.
Charles was known for his beautiful singing voice. He sang with the McDaniel Gospel Singers of Washington, DC.
In 2006, Charles and Sherrie moved to Conway, SC to start a new life, and to be near family; he loved the beach.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Woods Wilson; parents, niece, Monica Hanna Butler, and brother, Carl David Wilson.
Charles leaves many in God’s care to cherish his memory.
