Charlene Louise Kesterson passed away Tuesday morning, July 20, 2021.

Charlene was born September 10, 1932, in Kalamazoo the daughter of James and Ethel (Butcher) Norris.

As a young lady, one of Charlene’s favorite past times was roller skating. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holiday season. She was an avid reader, so much so, her children would use her reading time as their opportunity to make requests and receive a “yes” answer that ordinarily, would have been a hard “no”. Charlene played bingo, as often has she could. She especially enjoyed the sessions when her novice children would join her, and watch them stress over that “I’m so close I’m going to win” anxiety. Remember, if you loved Charlene, she loved you more!

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life and father of their nine (9) children, Cleave Jack Kesterson. Daughters Linda and Deborah, son-in-law, Kevin Dooley; and a brother, Harry Norris.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Ray) Miller, Pat Dooley, Gayle (Jeff) Kokmeyer, Teresa (Mark) Hatfield, Mike (Sherrie) Kesterson, Rhonda Dailey, Robin (Jim) Emery; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Arthur (Barbara) Norris, Joann Hamilton, Beverly Flegal; and several nieces and nephews.
