Charlene Kay Grossnicklaus, age 65, of Shelby, Nebraska, passed away September 21, 2020 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center in Osceola.
Char was born November 30, 1954 to John and Delores (Barry) Fujan in Wahoo, Nebraska. She attended school in Mead, Wahoo and Exeter before the family moved to Osceola in 1970. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1973.
Char was united in marriage. To this union three children were born, Andrea, Niki and Jared. Char was a homemaker and worked at various places including, Corner Spot Quick Shop in Osceola, Polk County Assessors Office, Brian Beckner Law office and was co-owner in a catering service.
On August 14, 2000 she was united in marriage to Lee Grossnicklaus. They resided in Lincoln for three years where Char worked at Hobby Lobby. They moved back to Shelby to be closer to their parents and grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Vincent’s Catholic Church and later joined Shelby Sacred Heart Catholic Church, she was a member of the Altar Society, quilting club. She enjoyed following her kids and grandkids activities and especially enjoyed holidays when family was together.
Survivors include her husband Lee of Shelby; daughter Niki (Troy) Emmons of Lincoln, son Jared Wyman of Osceola; mother Delores Fujan of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Blake Grossnicklaus, Avery Hanson, Grant Grossnicklaus, Thatcher Hanson, Shane Emmons; three step-grandchildren, Masen, Jacksen and Colter Powell; two step-children Morgan Grossnicklaus of Silver Creek and Abbie Powell of Mapleton, KS; brothers Ron (Kathy) Fujan of Sioux Falls, SD, and Chris Fujan of Nebraska; one sister Kristan Fujan of Lincoln; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father John Fujan; daughter Andrea Hanson.
