Charlene Dagnon, age 65 passed away Monday August 16, 2010 at her residence in Burlington Township. Mrs. Dagnon was born in Mt. Holly and was a long time Burlington resident. After graduating from Burlington City High School in 1962, Charlene began her career as a federal civil service employee at McGuire AFB, New Jersey. She retired with 40 years of government service. Charlene worked part time as a sub-secretary for the Burlington City School District after her retirement.
Charlene loved to travel, shop, read and grow beautiful flowers in her garden. The beach was her favorite place. She enjoyed walking along the shore hunting for sea glass and seashells. Keeping physically fit was important to her. She faithfully exercised at the base gym during her work years and the YMCA after retiring. She also enjoyed occasional trips to Atlantic City to play the slots or to see a show. Most of all, she loved her family and many friends.
She will be sadly missed by her husband and best friend for 46 years, Jerry Dagnon; her son Craig (Cheryl) Dagnon of Concord, NH; daughter Danielle (Michael) Tancredi of Lumberton; her granddog Peanut; cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and many friends.
