Charlene Moore Carpentier, 79, of Washington, IL, passed away peacefully at 2:43 AM on Friday, December 16, 2022, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 13, 1943, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of James and Dorothy Moore.
Four daughters survive her; Tracy Bourassa of East Peoria, IL, Teresa (Tim) Dusch, Carey (Jarrod) Marsh, and Kathleen Carpentier, all of Washington, IL; two sons, George Edward Carpentier of East Peoria and James Andrew Carpentier of Washington. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren Bethany, Jonnie, (Jackie) Bourassa; Brittany, and Ethan Dusch; Karly Moore, Jake Marsh, Devin, Zach, Katlyn, Natalie, Jaxson, Kammy Carpentier, and Tyeler Knott; Eight grandchildren, Austin, Wyatt, Emma, Madi, Kennedi, Jaiden, Braiden, & Eliana along with 2 step-grandchildren, Bobby Meeks and Sydney Schubert.
Further surviving are two brothers David Moore of Danville, IL, and William Moore of San Bernadino, CA., and two sisters Carol (Jim) Roth of Peoria, AZ, and Kathleen (Randy) Wilkey of Secor, IL. Also surviving are 4 Niece’s Jodi, Jill, Lindsey, & Shelby; 6 Grand Niece’s Haley, Hannah, Hope, Addison, Avery, & Aubrey. Her parents and one brother John Moore preceded her in death.
She worked for the Peoria Journal Star and Maple Lawn Homes. She enjoyed playing card games with friends at Maple Lawn Homes, having dinner with family, and cooking and baking for family and friends.
