Tragically, on October 17, 2021, Chad Lawrence Carlsen, Sr., passed from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  He was just 34.

Born the son of Waidner Carl, Jr. and Cecelia Marie (nee Gange) he would spend his youth in the Glen Burnie area eventually living in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Blessed with athleticism, compassion , enthusiasm and a drive to help others, he was and always will be an inspiration to his teammates, opposing players, family and friends. He was nicknamed “The Untouchable1clc”  and during his career as a semi pro football player, Chad received multiple trophies and awards and his most recent prized possessions, two championship football rings.   He was known by his kindness, caring and generosity and would give his last dollar or the cleats off of his feet, to someone in need.  To know Chad was to love him.  He always had a way of turning sad or serious circumstances into something funny to lighten the mood.  He could also be blunt and had no “filter,” but his directness was appreciated.  He was stylish on and off the football field and was noted for his appearance.

Surviving him are his devoted mother Cecelia Marie Carlsen and beloved father Waidner Carl Carlsen, Jr. as well as his loving children, Chad, “C.J.” Jr., Cayden Jace and Layla Marie Carlsen and his dear sister Megan Marie Carlsen.  He will be cherished in the memories of his nephews Kingston Waidner, Princeton James Carlsen, Sire Knighton and his neice Majesty Cecelia Miller.  His bulldog Mya will deeply miss his companionship.  All of his friends and family will hold a special place in their hearts for his memory.
