Cedric Lamont Bolden affectionately known as “Byrd” departed this life on August 28, 2017 at Talbot Hospice in Easton, MD.
He was born on June 26, 1967 to the late Almira “Sally” Bolden and
Carlton “Jimmy” Magee at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, MD. He was
50 years old.
Cedric graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg, MD in 1985. After graduating high school he enrolled at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD for one year. Upon completing that year with a basketball scholarship, he went to work at Coldwater Seafood in Cambridge, MD. After that, he had a paper route with Star Democrat in Easton, MD. He was later employed by Protenergy in Cambridge, MD as a forklift driver until his death. He also did landscaping in Finchville, MD which he loved doing.
He loved to cook for his family and friends especially barbecue foods and fish.
His favorite pastime after work was watching all kinds of sports on television, especially basketball. He was an avid fan of the Redskins. He also loved to go fishing.
Cedric accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ on August 18, 2017 and was baptized on August 23, 2017.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Marjorie Collins and Alton Batson, his paternal grandparents; Mary Darden and Wilbur Magee, his daughter; Jih’nae Jenkins, a best friend; Leroy Pittman, and his dog; “Roy” the Rottweiler.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his father; Carlton “Jimmy” Magee of Dover, DE, one brother; Carlton Bolden of Hurlock, MD, two sisters; Denita Jones of Wilmington, DE, Tonya Bolden of Seaford, DE, two daughters; Sade’ Blake of Cambridge, MD and Quinsha Bolden of Federalsburg, MD, four grandchildren; Trinah’de Blake, Zyion Newbill, Ze’ya Bolden, Z’aryn Bolden, two godchildren; Da’Jon and Da’Ve Pittman of Hurlock, MD, four aunts; Regina Jenkins and Gwendolyn Killette both of Hurlock, MD, Gloria Smullen and her husband of Piscataway, NJ, Beatrice Darden of Federalsburg, MD, one uncle; James Bolden and his wife, Sandra of Laurel, DE, a special friend, Deneene Norris and her daughters; Tonesha Jones-Stanley and De’Nesha Norris all of Cambridge, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will forever remain in our hearts!
