Cecilia Frances Kelsey, 78, of Littleton, passed away on October 25, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cecilia was born on November 25, 1935 to Harry Edwards Kelsey and Cecilia Eva Scheppele in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Denver as a young girl and loved everything about Colorado, the mountains, the snow, ice skating and all the sports teams.
She is a graduate of Holy Family High School in Denver, Colorado, the University of Northern Colorado (Colorado State College) (Bachelor’s Degree), and the University of Denver (Master’s Degree).
She retired from Gilpin County High School, where she taught countless students home economics and how to live life to the fullest from her example.
Cecilia is survived by her children; Eric William Hammond, Marlys Hammond, and Kirk Edwards Hammond, and two grandchildren; Aimee Kathleen Stone and Hank Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Lee Smyth, and is survived by her sister, Mary V. Minson, and brother, Harry E. Kelsey, Jr. She also leaves behind numerous close and loved relatives and friends.
She loved quilting, laughing, her family, friends, and pets. She was loved and will be missed by all.
