Cecilia Cynthia Gomez, beloved baby sister, aunt, godmother and friend, born to Epifinio & Helen Gomez, returned home November 29, 2016.
Cecilia, a devout Catholic, attended St. Joseph’s Church in Ogden, Utah. A decorated employee of the Federal Government, she retired from Hill AFB after a long career in motor pool and supply. Having no children off her own, she took pride in her godchildren, Louie, Heidi and Autumn, putting them second only to her love for her pups. Cecilia was talented in any handicraft she took a liking to and created elaborate dolls and other artful decor with ease.
Cecilia was a force to be reckoned with, full of audacity, independence, life and sass that she shared well with her nieces. She supported Veteran’s causes and the Fraternal Order of Police with charitable giving.
Cecilia’s lifelong love, George Simpson, precedes her recently in death as well as her father, mother, one sister and several brothers. She is survived by her two remaining sisters, Rosile Mitchell and Virginia Gomez.
